Blockade of the border – the Poles are blocking three checkpoints on the border with Ukraine – what a situation
[ad_1]
Polish farmers continue to block the movement of trucks at three checkpoints: “Yagodin”, “Rava-Russkaya” and “Ugrynov”. This led to a significant increase in queues of vans waiting to leave Ukraine.
The representative of the GNSU Andrey Demchenko reported in a comment to the mass media about the blocking of the border by Polish farmers. He added that so far the trucks are not allowed to the side of Poland because of “Yagodin” and “Rava-Russkaya”.
Only 60-90 trucks from Poland pass through Yahodina during the day, which is significantly less than its capacity. At the “Ugrynov” checkpoint, protesters are allowed to pass only 3 trucks for 4 hours in the direction of Ukraine and 1 truck per day in the direction of Poland.
As a result of the blockade, a total of 300 trucks were stuck at these three checkpoints, 200 of which are waiting to leave Ukraine in front of Yahodina. At the Krakovec, Shegyny, and Ustylug checkpoints, where earlier protests were also held, truck traffic resumed.
Queues are still there, but they are gradually decreasing. 700 trucks are stuck at “Krakowka”, and 420 at “Szegina”. The situation is calmer at other sections of the border. Opposite “Uzhgorod” there is practically no queue (20 trucks), 350 trucks on “Tysa” and 160 on “Porubnoy”. Passenger cars and buses cross the border freely, without restrictions.
As previously reported by OBOZ.UA, the Polish authorities expect that the transit of Ukrainian agricultural products through the territory of the country will be stopped from April 1. Negotiations on the licensing of agricultural exports from Ukraine are also being completed, which will allow introducing new restrictions on the import of Ukrainian products to Poland.
