Blocking of the border by the Poles – the Poles can already tomorrow block another checkpoint on the border – GNSU

Now here movement is free in both directions. This was stated in a comment to “Ukrinform” by the speaker of the State Border Service Andriy Demchenko.

“As of today, the blockade is carried out in the direction of the checkpoints “Yagodin” and “Rava-Russkaya”. Because of “Yagodin” and “Rava-Russkaya”, Polish protesters do not allow trucks to pass towards Poland at all. In these directions, the last period is fixed zero indicators of crossing the border by trucks leaving Ukraine,” said Demchenko.

He clarified that an extremely small number of trucks are allowed to leave Poland through “Yagodin” per day, for the last day there were 70 of them. As of this morning, there are a total of 500 trucks, 250 each, in queues on the two blocked directions in Poland against each of them. Passenger cars and buses cross the border freely everywhere, for this category of transport, movement on the other side of the border is not restricted.

The press secretary reminded that previously Polish farmers stopped blocking the movement of trucks at the checkpoints “Krakowec”, “Shegyny” and “Ustylug”, now there is intensive traffic both on the way out of Ukraine and on the way in. There are still queues on the territory of Poland in the direction of “Krakowc” – 950 trucks, “Shegyny” – 600. However, with the intensity of traffic that is now, drivers do not have to stand in queues for weeks.

As previously reported, Ukraine and Poland held talks at the level of prime ministers. Among the topics are blocking of the border by Polish farmers and trade in the agricultural sector. Among the results, there is an agreement that Poland will issue licenses to Ukraine to import four types of agricultural crops into its territory.
