A movie will be made about the life of the first lady of France, Brigitte Macron. Production company Gaumont reported that the six-episode series called “Bridget, the Free Woman” “will be compiled from a collection of stories” about the wife of French President Emmanuel Macron.
The first series will show the first meeting of the couple. The BBC reminds that Mrs. Macron first met her future husband when she was a teacher at his school.
The couple got married in 2007, when Emmanuel was only 29 years old, and his teacher was 54. She continued to teach for a while, but quit her job in 2015, when her husband began to engage in politics. Ten years later, in 2017, he was elected president.
The script of the new series will be written by French writers Charles Benedict and Olivier Pouponot. The first lady reported that she was “not connected with this project, which we learned about today from the press.”
The cast of the series has not yet been announced.
Gaumont is a French film studio, considered one of the oldest film studios in the world. However, she is famous not for this, but for her paintings.
