CC Telde has requested the mayor, Juan Antonio Peña, the full restitution of the agreements reached in the Government pact signed last June after a urgent session of the Local Political Councilthe highest decision-making body, held this Saturday afternoon.
In response to dismissal of its leader, Héctor Suárez, of all his powers in the local government by the mayor, CC maintains that its councilors “have maintained the loyalty and commitment with each and every one of the aspects signed by the groups that make up the current Government pact”, but above all with the more than 102,000 inhabitants of the city.
CC highlights the institutional rigor and the defense at all costs of the general interests of the city carried out by the mayor and local secretary of TeldeHéctor Suárez, as well as decision-making in favor of improving basic public services.
Suárez rejects the mayor’s decision, affirms that this political group and its advisers “have ensured the improvement of the city working transparently and effectively» and remarks that «there are no arguments that show bad practice in any file».
As he declares, “Peña is not telling the truth, apologizing in the Jonay Lopez appointment as director of the Solid Waste Collection and Street Cleaning Service, which with full guarantee exhaustively complies with the requirements specified in the contract documents, something that the mayor knew beforehand and to which he did not interpose any impediment previous”.
CC Telde has also urged the Insular Political Council to defend the pact signed and the honor of all its councilors.
