During the discussion of the issue of demobilization of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the former Deputy Minister of Defense Anna Malyar expressed her opinion, what military personnel before going to fight should have familiarized themselves with the Constitution. She noted that the Constitution states that demobilization is impossible in advance and that it will be necessary to fight until the end of martial law.

Malyar announced this on the air of the “New Countdown” program on the “Society” channel. The words of the former deputy minister of defense brought to tears the deputy Inna Sovsun, whose husband has been serving in the army since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia.

Anna Malyar explained why the clause on the demobilization of the Armed Forces was excluded from the law on mobilization. She noted that every month the Russian army hires about 30,000 people on contract and, in addition, carries out covert mobilization, which can lead to the recruitment of another 300,000 soldiers. According to estimates, by the autumn the enemy will be able to form very powerful forces, significantly exceeding our capabilities.

That is why there is a rotation of servicemen, so as not to blow up our combat capability. The painter noted that in the current conditions, if Ukraine demobilizes, we may simply lose a combat-ready army.

“The military should have read the Constitution themselves and know that demobilization is impossible ahead of time and that it will be necessary to fight until the end of martial law,” said Anna Malyar.

After these words, the People’s Deputy Inna Sovsun burst into tears, indicated that her husband is now on the front line. According to her, during the two years of the war, he hardly saw his children. She emphasized that the rotation will not help the military, which will continue to be on the front lines from February 24, 2022.

“My husband went to protect the country, you, all those who are watching us now. I have been waiting for him for two years. I regularly do not sleep at night, just like hundreds of thousands of other women who are waiting for their men. There are millions of other men who are also they can fight. We are not the ones who left on February 24, the whole country is fighting. Now, what you are saying is that you are shifting the responsibility to those who made the most important, most difficult moment in history,” said Sovsun.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine said when to wait for the bill on demobilization. Yes, the first version of a separate draft law on demobilization in Ukraine may be ready in the coming months. The document is already under development.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, on April 11, deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the law on mobilization in Ukraine No. 10449 in the second reading by a majority vote. 283 parliamentarians voted “for”. However, the provision on demobilization was excluded from the draft law at the request of the Cabinet of Ministers.
