Realizing something was wrong, Mr. Trinh rushed out into the street. The house was near a main road, but at that time he did not see any large trucks passing by, so Mr. Trinh knew for sure it was an earthquake.

“Previously, I also felt a similar shaking phenomenon and then saw the mass media reporting it was an earthquake. So this time I reacted quickly by running out into the street. When I went online , I see many people sharing the same situation,” Mr. Trinh said.

Mr. Le Van No (in Dong Mit 2 village, Dong Tam commune) also clearly felt the shaking phenomenon at around 8:55 am.

This man immediately ran out into the yard. He saw neighbors panicking and asking why he was on the second floor and saw furniture shaking and people unsteady on their feet. Mr. No said it was most likely an earthquake.

“My assessment was correct when I saw many people in the neighborhood also shared that they were dizzy as if they had just experienced a vestibular attack,” Mr. No said.

While working away from home, Mr. Nguyen Son received a text message that there had been an earthquake where he lived. This man quickly checked his home’s security camera and saw a tremor lasting about 3-4 seconds. The farm watch dog clearly felt the shaking so he got up and listened. The coffee table on the floor vibrated.

“The furniture was not damaged, but the family members were frightened and had to run out,” Mr. Son said after watching video from his home’s security camera in Dong Tam commune, My Duc.

While eating breakfast in a restaurant, Ms. Vu Thu (in Dong Tam commune) also saw the corrugated iron roof shaking.

“I thought a car was passing by, but I saw there was no car on the street. People in the restaurant were chaotic, but I sat still for a while and felt normal again. When I later found out it was an earthquake, I also felt heartbroken,” Ms. Thu said. speak.

The shaking phenomenon was recorded by a security camera at 8:05 a.m. this morning, March 25, in Dong Tam commune, My Duc district.

In many areas of My Duc district, people said that beds and furniture in the house vibrated slightly but it happened very quickly, in seconds.

Information from the Institute of Geophysics said that according to observations at 1:05 a.m. (GMT time) on March 25, or 8:05 a.m. (Hanoi time) on March 25, 2024, a 4.0 degree earthquake occurred at the location located degrees (20,770 degrees North latitude, 105,720 degrees East longitude), focal depth of about 16km.

The earthquake occurred in My Duc district, Hanoi. Natural disaster risk level 0.
