Eight Fuerteventura businesses sanctioned for irregularities and human trafficking

The National Police and the Labor and Social Security Inspection have sanctioned 109,000 euros to eight businesses of Fuerteventura in an operation carried out in different parts of the island.
The National Police was able to determine that several commercial and hospitality establishments on the island had workers among their staff. in an irregular situation in Spain and, in turn, they would be committing social security fraud, as well as human trafficking.
The National Police has carried out 23 inspections in different commercial and hospitality venues. 60 people have been identifiedbetween managers and workers of the different companies.
As a result of these inspections, we proceeded to sanction eight locals for different irregularities related to the hiring of workers and, in addition, nine workers were proposed for sanction for being in Spain in an irregular situation and lacking the proper work permit.
