F-16 for Ukraine: the Air Force stated that the appearance of the aircraft would be a surprise for Russia

Ukrainian servicemen continue training on F-16 fighters in Western countries.

In particular, pilots in the United States and Denmark are already honing their skills in the sky. At the same time, no one will reveal the specific dates of the transfer of F-16 aircraft to Ukraine, said a representative of the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the air of “Radio Liberty” Ilya Evlash.

According to him, two groups of Ukrainian pilots are already at the final stage of training on the F-16. He added that the appearance of these fighters in the Ukrainian sky should be a surprise for the enemy. Therefore, there is no question of any specific terms.

“Two groups in Denmark and the United States are training on the F-16, honing their skills and practice. The raid takes hours on these planes. Of course, this is one of the final stages. When exactly will the transfer take place and when we will see the F-16, probably it should not be publicized so that the enemy is surprised,” the speaker said

Yevlash also added that when Ukraine receives F-16s, it will be able to shoot down not only Russian aircraft that terrorize front-line and border territories with aerial bombs, but also missiles that the invaders fire at peaceful cities.

“As soon as it is possible to talk about it, we will inform all Ukrainians. Because everyone is very much waiting for this news, both in the Air Force and ordinary Ukrainians, when our planes will finally be able to shoot down Russian missiles that terrorize our peaceful cities, and they oppose Russian aviation,” Evlash noted.
