Helping a 90-year-old man pick up scraps and bottles, the homeowner was surprised to see the camera again at 4 o’clock

On the morning of April 10, Mr. Ha Vi Han (Tan Phu district, Dong Nai province) opened the door and suddenly saw two flower pots in front of the house and the grass in the yard was also cleaned. Not knowing whose flower pot belonged to him, he asked the rice seller next to him and learned that an old man had brought the flowers.

Later, the homeowner checked the security camera, realized that his “acquaintance” had been silently weeding, and gave him two carefully watered flower pots at 4 am. At the same time the next day, the old man returned and used a broom to sweep his brother’s front yard.

“That was a man over 90 years old, living about 2-3km from my house. Every day, he rode his bicycle to pick up scraps and bottles or passed by my house. I often gave him things and money for breakfast,” he recalled.

For a long time, every day at 9 p.m., the old man regularly cycled past Mr. Han’s house. He did not ask for money or food, but the homeowner felt sorry for him so every time he gave him some money or bottles.

Every time he received a gift from Mr. Han, the old man would say: “Wishing you good health and peace.”

According to research, the old man’s family is not in difficulty. However, every day, he still rides his bike from dusk to dawn, weeding, watering plants, and picking up scraps and bottles at roadside houses “as a hobby of old age”.

“Because he was familiar with his previous life and liked to work, he still maintained these activities,” Mr. Han said.

One morning not long ago, Ms. Thuy went to buy breakfast on Nguyen Huu Canh Street (Tan Phu Town) and saw an old man riding a bicycle approaching. He pulled weeds and cleaned dead flower pots at a restaurant.

“I felt sorry for him and gave him money but he didn’t accept it. I bought him breakfast and ran home to get him some old paper and cans,” she said.

Watching the video Mr. Han posted on social networks, Ms. Thuy immediately recognized the old man. “I feel touched, although his gift is small but heartwarming,” the woman confided.

Mr. Han shared the story on his personal account, unexpectedly the online community responded and spread it. His article attracted nearly 1,000 interactions, many comments and shares on social networking forums.

Mr. Han considered helping the old man very small, but was touched when he received love from a stranger.
