In such a situation where almost all opposing and critical voices have been silenced and all political forces, including nationalists, left and right, have crawled into corners, in a part of one of the central cities of Iran, namely Qom, a scientific/religious center called Qom Seminary, its activities resumed While our land continued to witness the suppression of various religious movements during the Pahlavi II era (including the execution of devotees of Islam in 1334), the peaceful and inner region of Qom is undergoing a transformation and as if like a fire under the ashes, it was preparing itself for a huge movement. Although the newly established organization of information and security of the country (SAVAK) had a suspicious look at this internal and peaceful development. In fact, it can be considered one of the first detailed reports of SAVAK at the very beginning of its establishment about Qom seminary. The above report was written on 22 March 1335 by Colonel Kamali, an officer of SAVAK’s religious security department who was sent to Qom, through Colonel Qalqsa, the head of the department. It was presented to Timur Bakhtiar, the then head of the National Security Organization, and a copy of it was also sent to the third department. In the above report, while describing the educational status of the students of Qom seminary, a detailed explanation was written about the authorities and scholars and their subject areas, and even the number of students in the classrooms of each of the authorities and teachers was included. One of the noteworthy points of this report is the historical admission of the SAVAK officer about the situation of Imam Khomeini’s classrooms (may peace be upon him), which was more popular and more popular than the classrooms of other authorities and teachers. This is despite the fact that after the beginning of the Imam’s movement in 1341 and 1342, many times the agents of the Shah’s regime, including SAVAK, tried to question the scholarly character of the Imam and make him inferior to other scholars. Wasid Kazem Shariat Madari has about 300 people, the classes of Seyyed Muhammad Hossein Tabatabai Qazi (Allameh Tabatabai) have about 200 people, and the number of students of the foreign course of Mr. Sheikh Mohammad Araki (who is described in the SAVAK report as one of the companions of the late Sheikh Abdul Karim) is about 100 people, but the following is written about the imam: “5- Mr. Haj Agha Rooh… Khomeini, who is important in terms of lessons, about 500 people…”

How the seminary of Qom prospered
According to the available documents, Hazrat Imam Khomeini (may God have mercy on him) left for Qom following Ayatollah Sheikh Abdul Karim Hairi and was present by his side during the foundation of the Hozha. In Qom, philosophy and mysticism were again taught in the Bab’s school, and professors and authorities held these two lessons for a group of their students. Including Imam Khomeini who, while teaching philosophy, also started a private discussion of mystical sciences for worthy and trusted people. In addition to the above courses, the ethics course was of special importance and in fact it was considered as a link between the seminary and people’s lives, as many non-seminarians and ordinary people participated in the seminary’s ethics courses, including professionals and marketers, students and students. They were familiar with the influence of religious ethics in their lives. In fact, these ethics taught them a religious lifestyle, which was forgotten for years in the chaos of modernism and modernization. Including Hazrat Imam Khomeini (RA), who attached great importance to the refinement of the soul and the development of the spiritual and moral powers of the students, after the beginning of teaching philosophy and mysticism, and for the purpose of teaching moral affairs and spiritual sciences, he also held advice and admonition meetings. In the beginning, this session was very limited and he narrated spiritual issues, divine teachings and the way to refine and cultivate the soul from the book “Manazel al-Saerin” for the few participants in these classes, but gradually the scope of these lessons and sessions became the ethics classes. It became famous, spread, and was held once a week at the level of the district, where, in addition to the clergy, hundreds of businessmen, workers, and marketers of Qom city also participated in the ethics lesson.
Gradually, the influence and spiritual effects of this spiritual gathering reached the point where the residents of other cities and the center were also informed and they went to Qom every week so that the place of Imam’s morality lesson in Faizyeh school was filled with people. The great welcome and great interest expressed by the people in this Majlis prompted Imam Khomeini to establish the meeting on Thursday and Friday every week so that all classes can participate in this Majlis by adapting their business situation and benefit from the informative and constructive speeches of the Imam. The agents of Reza Khani’s regime tried to close these classes and assemblies and finally forced the imam to transfer the morals curriculum of Faizyeh School to Haj Molassadeq School which was in a distant place.
At the same time, most of the great scholars and scholars and mujtahids of the seminaries agreed that Haj Agha’s classrooms were basically mujtahid-nurturing, he gave students and scholars intellectual independence and taught them the way and method of deriving rulings. was learning It was for this reason that during the years of his teaching, hundreds of opinionated and knowledgeable scholars graduated from Imam’s courses, who sometimes became the owners of classes and courses themselves, and made hundreds of students and clerics benefit from their knowledge. About 1,000 scholars and intellectuals who knew Imam (may peace be upon him) as a wise teacher, a capable thinker and an incomparable scholar, knelt in his classrooms and benefited from that wave of knowledge and virtue, and when the classroom When the Imam finished, the crowd of students would wave along the way from the Salmasi Mosque to the Fayziyeh School and give a spiritual atmosphere to Eram Street and the outskirts of the sacred courtyard of Hazrat Masoumeh. He was one half of the students of the late Ayat Abroujerdi in the last years of his life. Many scholars and scholars of Qom seminary in the 40s and 50s had the honor of being a student of Imam Khomeini (RA) in the 40s and 50s, or both, and gained knowledge from his blessed school. He was in charge of the Shia course, hundreds of scholars, scholars and mujtahids graduated and scattered all over the country to promote and publish his lofty ideals and goals throughout this land as well as other Islamic countries.
