Kolkata (Uttam Hindu News): Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting and Youth and Sports Affairs Anurag Singh Thakur said in Bagdogra, West Bengal on Monday that the Congress manifesto bears the imprint of anti-India foreign powers. The Congress manifesto talks about making India devoid of nuclear power. Why is the thought process of Congress and anti-India foreign forces the same?

He also said that under Mamata Didi’s government, terrorists, miscreants, corrupt people, opponents of the nation and women get protection in West Bengal. On one hand, crores of rupees are recovered from the houses of Trinamool Congress leaders, while on the other hand, Trinamool Congress leaders harass women. Anurag Thakur reached Bagdogra, West Bengal for election campaign where he discussed the resolution letter issued by the party and while talking to reporters, he fiercely targeted the Indi alliance.

Anurag Thakur further termed Rahul Gandhi’s response to BJP’s manifesto as misleading and said, “Rahul Gandhi should know that before 2014, when his government left, the inflation rate was around 13 percent. Today, even when there is war going on in many parts of the world, Modi ji has kept the inflation rate in India around 5 percent. We have ensured that grains are always available in the plate of the poor. In the last 10 years, Modi ji has provided free food grains, treatment, permanent houses, electricity, roads, security, free LPG connections, good crop prices, crop insurance etc. to the poor. This made it possible for 25 crore poor people of the country to come out of the poverty line. We have given an opportunity to the needy people of the country to stand on their feet by giving 43 crore Mudra loans and now we are going to increase the amount of Mudra loan from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 20 lakh. In the last 6 years, 7 crore 60 lakh people have registered with EPFO. In the last one year, about 1.5 crore people have got direct jobs in the formal sector. At the time of Congress, the number of startups in the country was around 500, today it is 1 lakh 20 thousand. If there was a Congress government today, neither Mangalyaan would have been successful, nor Chandrayaan would have been successful, nor would there have been preparations for Gaganyaan.

The Union Minister said, “The thinking of Congress is anti-India, hence they are in favor of eliminating nuclear power from India. Rahul Gandhi should explain why his agenda is to weaken the country. During his 10 years of rule, he neither gave bullet proof jackets, nor weapons, nor fighter planes to the army and now being in the opposition, he is talking about eliminating nuclear weapons from the country. After all, why is the thought process of Congress and anti-India foreign forces the same?

Thakur further underlined the changes brought about in the country by the Modi government in the last 10 years, saying, “Before 2014, there were 74 airports in the country, today there are around 150. Earlier there were around 90 lakh kilometers of highways, today there are around 1.50 lakh kilometers. Before 2014, there were 3 lakh 20 thousand kilometers of rural roads, today there are 6 lakh 95 thousand kilometers of rural roads. In 2014, there was not even a single train like Vande Bharat, today 41 Vande Bharat trains are running in the country. In 2014 there were 21,000 kilometers of electrified trains, today there are 41,000 kilometers of electrified trains. In 2014, only five cities had metro, today 20 cities have metro. There were only 7 AIIMS in 2014, today there are 22 AIIMS. There were 384 medical colleges in 2014, today there are more than 700. In 2014, there were 450 universities in the country, today there are more than 1100. India placed the world’s largest order of 1000 aircraft till date and with this, India has the highest number of female pilots in the world i.e. 14 percent. Today, more than 10 thousand women are included in the Indian Army. While G20 was successfully organized in the new India, now we will also prepare to organize the Olympics.

Anurag Thakur further said in his meetings that Congress had left the country in a crippling and tottering situation in 2014. Modi ji came and took over the country and has brought it to a wonderful state in the last 10 years. The country is ready to hit fours and sixes under the leadership of Modi ji in the next term.
