Passing of repeated medical examinations to determine fitness for service by citizens who were previously recognized as “limited fitness” will begin in mid-May.

Details: Gavrilyuk also said that the Ministry of Defense has now restarted the electronic system “Oberig”, which provides digital data management at all stages of the mobilization campaign for each individual subject.
The system is integrated with the State Tax Service, the Ministry of Justice, the State Border Service, the Ministry of Education, the State Migration Service and the Court Administration.
In particular, 23 million requests to update citizen data were made. To date, data on men of draft age who can be included in mobilization have been digitized in all 24 regions of Ukraine and Kyiv.
In addition, the deputy of the Ministry of Defense reported that since February 11, 10 recruiting centers have been opened in Ukraine in five regions: one each in Lviv, Poltava and Zaporizhzhia, two centers in Kharkiv and six in Dnipropetrovsk region.
“By the end of July, 22 more such centers should be opened across the country. As of today, more than a thousand applications have already been registered through the open centers. And more than 200 people are already applying for positions. We expect that based on the results of the recruitment centers, we will increase the number of contracts to four five thousand per month,” Gavrilyuk said.
What preceded: On April 3, Law No. 3621-IX, signed by President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, was published, which, in particular, provides for the cancellation of the “limited suitability” status.
The law enters into force one month after its publication, namely on May 4, 2024. Citizens who have been recognized as “limited fit” must re-pass the military medical commission within 9 months after the law comes into force. That is, until February 4, 2025.
The Ministry of Defense explained that after the law enters into force, the government has 3 months to adopt the relevant normative legal acts, which determine the updated list of diseases for determining fitness/unfitness for military service.
