The National Museum of the History of Ukraine collected 772 thousand hryvnias for donations, which are necessary for the dismantling of the illegally constructed “Temple-MAF” of the Russian Church.
The amount was collected in less than a day. This was reported by the press service of the museum on Facebook.

“The speed with which it was possible to raise the necessary sum indicates that the Ukrainian society supports the demolition of the spontaneous church MAF in the historical heart of Kyiv – Starokievskaya Gora,” the museum noted.
The press service of the museum reminded that in September 2023, the Northern Economic Court of Appeal confirmed the illegality of unauthorized construction and ordered the demolition of the structure and the return of the land to its previous condition at the expense of the person who committed the offense. The court’s decision entered into legal force and is at the stage of enforcement from October 2, 2023.
The museum workers also noted that “it is not necessary to expect voluntary execution of a court decision from a person who arbitrarily seized the museum’s land plot and carried out arbitrary construction on it.”
“Today, the only way to implement the court’s decision and remove trash from the territory of the museum is to advance the costs of the enforcement proceedings on behalf of the claimant – the museum, by attracting a specialized enterprise that has a permit to carry out work related to increased danger,” the message states.
The Russian “temple-kiosk” was built without permission and is located in the buffer zone of UNESCO attractions, where new construction is prohibited.
Also, the construction violates the ensemble of the historical archaeological complex “Desyatynnaya tserkov”.
