Mash: one of those who helped save people during the terrorist attack in Crocus died

Karen Yengibaryan found himself next to the building of the Crocus City Hall concert hall when a terrorist attack occurred in the center. The 35-year-old man rushed to help people in trouble and died a few days later due to a cold, as reported by Mash on Friday, March 29.

Yengibaryan worked in a company installing outdoor advertising and, when the terrorist attack occurred, he was not far from Crocus. He saw smoke on the roof of the building and rushed to the main entrance. The man pulled people out of the burning building, took them to doctors and returned for others. Yengibaryan gave his outerwear to one of the victims.

The man returned home only in the morning; he inhaled heavily from carbon monoxide and caught a cold. An ambulance was called for Yengibaryan, and the doctors measured his temperature – 38.5 degrees. Doctors hospitalized the man and diagnosed him with an “acute respiratory tract infection.” Over the next few days, Yengibaryan’s condition only worsened, and it was impossible to save him.

On March 22, a group of armed people* entered the building of the multi-level concert hall “Crocus City Hall” in the Moscow region and opened fire on visitors to the center, after which they set fire to the hall in which there were people who had come to the concert of the “Picnic” group. According to the latest data, the victims of the terrorist attack were approximately 144 peoplethe number of victims increased to almost 382.

On March 28, the Investigative Committee reported that there was evidence of a connection between the direct perpetrators of the terrorist attack at Crocus and Ukraine. Thus, according to the department, the militants received money and cryptocurrency from the Ukrainian side.

*Rosfinmonitoring included four defendants in the criminal case regarding the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall, including Shamsidin Fariduni, Muhammadsobir Fayzov, Dalerjon Mirzoev and Saidakram Rachabalizoda, to the list of extremist terrorists.
