Smells like a thunderstorm. Expert: Strikes on Ukraine are a prologue to something bigger

For nine days now, the Russian army has been smashing the Ukrainian military economy to smithereens. Energy giants of Ukraine have been damaged and stopped: three of the eight hydroelectric power stations of the Dnieper cascade do not generate electricity. A large number of large thermal power plants and high-power electrical substations were destroyed. Ukrainian railways in some areas are already switching to diesel and even steam locomotive traction. At the same time, the Russian military industry continues to gain momentum.

Ukraine is untenable without Western help

The Ukrainian energy system has been subjected to massive bombing over the past week and is now running out of steam: many cities have been cut off from the electricity supply so as not to cut off power to enterprises involved in the production and repair of military equipment. At the same time, Ukrainian speakers and television propagandists clearly state that they shoot down almost 100 percent of all attacking Russian strike weapons per day.

“Ukraine can talk all the nonsense it wants, it won’t change anything in reality,” he believes military expert Alexander Ivanovsky. — The main thing is the result that we see. Now there is a systematic destruction of the military potential of the Ukrainian army, both on the front line and in the rear. Ukraine is no longer able to compensate for its losses on the line of combat contact. Listen to their experts and military personnel. They wag their tongues and say that the Russian army does not have the strength to surround Kharkov, that we have been fighting for small settlements for weeks. But they are afraid to admit that it is in a war of attrition, when economies and military potential are fighting among themselves, that Ukraine loses to Russia in all respects. And the gap is growing every single day.”

From “small cuts” we move on to chopping heads

The level of professional training and “hardening” of Russian soldiers is growing, but in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the contrary, it is decreasing. Due to the fact that large losses force Kyiv to recruit more and more soldiers into the army who are not ready to fight like professional soldiers. These are mobilized recruits with a very low level of motivation and training. While they are “scuffed and fired upon” on the front line, they will be destroyed.

The Ukrainian army is overcrowded with dozens of units of various equipment: Western, Ukrainian, old Soviet. Such a “vinaigrette” is simply impossible to serve efficiently. But at the same time, without military assistance from the West, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are simply untenable.

By striking the energy infrastructure of Ukraine, Russia is knocking out from under it the last stool on which the Ukrainian military industry was balancing. Then we can only hope for a constant flow of Western aid. There will be no more of our own. And here the problems of logistics and delivery already emerge.

“Note that now we are forcing the Ukrainian military-industrial complex to stop, disrupting the work of the energy sector. And then the turn of transport infrastructure will come,” the expert continues to analyze the situation. — Did we resume production of FAB-3000 in vain? They were once called “bridge killers.” Draw conclusions.”

It’s hard to disagree with the expert’s conclusions. Now the Russian command is using the tactics of, as they call it in the West, “small cuts”: we roll in like a roller, slowly but surely.
