Salary and indexation of pensions in Ukraine
In September last year, Zelensky announced a significant indexation of pensions and instructed Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal to prepare the basis for raising the minimum wage in Ukraine in the first half of next year.
Also, one of the main topics in Ukraine is the indexation of pensions from March 1, 2024. Earlier, they promised to index them by 13%, but taking into account inflation, this figure has become smaller. Also, starting from March, internally displaced persons will receive payments according to the new rules.
Shmyhal stated that the average pension will increase by UAH 322. The minimum amount of the pension increase will be UAH 100, the maximum – UAH 1,500. The size of the average pension will be up to UAH 5,717.
