Montenegro is preparing to join the EU training mission, which conducts training for the Ukrainian military.
As reported by the Balkan service of “Radio Liberty”, “European Truth” writes, the Ministry of Defense of Montenegro informed about this.
Podgorica plans to send three of its instructors to the mission, who will work in Germany.
“Now we are at the stage of implementing national procedures, the result of which should be the decision of the parliament regarding the participation of representatives of our armed forces in the mission,” the agency reported.
The decision must first be taken at the Security and Defense Council, and the parliament will give its consent based on this proposal.
“Montenegro stands resolutely on the side of Ukraine in its struggle to preserve the territorial integrity and sovereignty and freedom of the Ukrainian people. Montenegro expresses support and solidarity not only in words, but also through concrete political actions, financial and humanitarian support,” the Ministry of Defense said.
Also this week Ukraine agreed with Montenegro “transport visa-free” for cargo transportation, the liberalization of transportation will take effect from June 1.
