More than 50 People’s Deputies are suspected of criminal activity – HONESTLY

At least 54 deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of the 9th convocation were suspected of criminal crimes, 25 of them are suspected of corruption crimes.

CHESNO emphasizes that the exact number and names of people’s deputies suspected of criminal offenses are not known. The main reason is that the name of a person suspected of committing a crime cannot be made public until the court verdict.

And this is not taking into account the proceedings of the SBU, the Prosecutor General’s Office and other law enforcement agencies. But the exact number and names of suspected people’s deputies are not disclosed in accordance with the requirements of the law.”

Details: The movement collected from open sources information about 42 People’s Deputies who are suspected of criminal offenses since the beginning of the work of the Council of the IX convocation.

Among them are representatives of all parliamentary factions and groups, except for “Holos”. Deputies from “Servant of the People” and the now-banned OPZZ received the most suspicions.

The most deputies received suspicions under the articles on unreliable declaration, treason and bribery.

According to CHESNO’s calculations, 25 people’s deputies are suspected of various corruption crimes. Most among them are people’s deputies from “Servant of the People”.

In particular, 13 people’s deputies are suspected of making unreliable declarations. At least 6 more are suspected of offering or accepting bribes, 2 – of abuse of influence, and 2 more – of official forgery.

Another 12 People’s Deputies of the 9th convocation are suspected of crimes against national security: under articles of treason, collaborationism and encroachment on the territorial integrity of Ukraine. Most of them are representatives of the banned OPZZ.

Among the other articles for which people’s deputies are suspected are official forgery to travel abroad, fraud, tax evasion, button fraud and threats to kill.

According to the movement’s calculations, out of 42 People’s Deputies with suspicions, at least 11 already have court sentences. However, most of them escaped responsibility due to the expiration of the statute of limitations or due to remorse.

11 parliamentarians with suspicions have lost their seats as of now. But those of the suspected People’s Deputies, who were not deprived of their mandates and are not in a pre-trial detention center, can continue to vote in the Council.
