Rain, clouds and wind this Good Friday in the Canary Islands

Expected strong wind on the northeastern and southwestern slopes of the islands, and probable very strong gusts in the midlands and summits of the most prominent ones during the first half of the day.

Lanzarote

Cloudy skies tending to cloudy intervals from the early hours of the morning, with moderate precipitation during the early morning that may be in the form of a shower, without ruling out that it may occasionally be heavy. Low probability of weak and scattered rains late in the day. Minimum temperatures in slight rise and maximum temperatures with few changes or in slight decline. Moderate northwest wind with strong intervals, with probable occasionally very strong gusts during the first half of the day in inland areas and in the northeast.

Fuerteventura

Cloudy skies tending to cloudy intervals from early morning, with weak to moderate rainfall during the early morning. Weak and scattered rains are not ruled out in the late hours of the day. Minimum temperatures rising and maximum temperatures with few changes or a slight decrease. Moderate northwest wind with strong intervals, with a low probability of occasionally very strong gusts at the beginning.

Puerto del Rosario: 18º-21º

Gran Canaria

Cloudy tending to cloudy intervals during the morning with weak to moderate rains during the early morning, mainly on the north and west slopes. Starting at noon it will tend to be cloudy in the interior and eastern slope where there is a probability of occasional moderate rainfall.

Minimum temperatures in slight rise. Declining maximums in the northern half and with few changes in low areas of the south. Moderate northwest wind, which will blow strongly on summits and northeast and southwest slopes during the first half of the day when locally very strong gusts are likely.

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria: 17º-21º

Tenerife

In the north cloudy with clearings opening in the morning and moderate rains during the early morning, with the probability that they will be in the form of heavy showers. In the afternoon, precipitation will be less likely and generally weak. In the rest of the areas, cloudy intervals with predominance of cloudy skies in the east in the afternoon when occasional rains are not ruled out. Precipitation in the early hours could be in the form of snow above 2100 to 2300 meters.

Minimum temperatures with few changes and maximum temperatures in a slight to moderate decrease in the north and with few changes in the south. Weak frosts on summits. Moderate wind from the northwest, which will blow strongly with probable very strong gusts on central peaks, the ridge and medians of the metropolitan area during the first half of the day. In the afternoon it will generally reduce in intensity, except on the southwest coasts where occasionally very strong gusts are not ruled out.

Santa Cruz de Tenerife: 17º-22º

La Gomera

Cloudy intervals with moderate precipitation during the early morning, mainly to the north and west. In the central hours, slightly cloudy skies will predominate and cloudy skies will predominate at the end of the day.

Minimum temperatures in slight ascent and maximum in slight descent. Moderate wind from the northwest, which will blow strongly with probable occasional very strong gusts on summits, midlands and on the northeast slope during the first half of the day.
