JAKARTA, BALIPOST.com – In order to share happiness in the month of Ramadan as well as a series of the 26th anniversary of the Ministry of BUMN. The Ministry of BUMN together with BUMN is organizing the 2024 BUMN Ramadan Safari which will be present in 40 cities and districts throughout Indonesia.

In this regard, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk played a role in enlivening the activities by holding Ramadan Safaris in two locations, namely Karanganyar, Central Java and Takalar, South Sulawesi by holding a cheap market with a total of 2,000 basic food packages or 1,000 basic food packages each. at each location. The event will be held on March 27, 2024.

Indonesian BUMN Minister Erick Thohir explained that this program was in line with the direction of Indonesian President Joko Widodo to maintain the availability of food at affordable prices. Apart from that, these basic necessities are also sold cheaply in response to the El Nino storm which caused food prices to rise in various regions of the country.

“The BUMN Ministry is taking part in the Ramadan momentum to distribute cheaper basic commodities to the community and at the same time share warmth and togetherness in the middle of the holy month of Ramadan,” said Erick some time ago.

The basic food packages sold consist of 5 kilograms of rice, one liter of cooking oil and one kilogram of sugar which are sold for IDR 75,000 or half the normal price.

In this regard, Deputy Main Director of BRI Catur Budi Harto revealed that at the BUMN Ramadan Safari event, there were 1,000 cheap basic food packages being sold to the public. Apart from that, there is a BRI-assisted MSME bazaar which sells various kinds of takjil.

“It is hoped that this activity can provide benefits and blessings in the holy month of Ramadan for the local community,” he said.

BRI is committed to continuing to support the government’s efforts in implementing various social programs for the community, especially for those in need. This is a concrete manifestation of the company’s commitment to provide more economic and social value for the entire community.

Previously, BRI together with BRI Group carried out the “Sharing Happiness with BRI Group” activity in the form of distributing 128,011 basic food aid packages which were distributed to 144 orphanages and 36 nursing homes and the general public spread throughout Indonesia.

Each basic food package provided contains rice, cooking oil, sugar and other basic necessities. The distribution of basic necessities is carried out by representatives of 18 BRI Regional Offices spread throughout Indonesia involving all BRI Group workers. Apart from distributing basic necessities, BRI Group also distributed assistance in the form of compensation to 4,600 orphans spread across various regions in Indonesia.

“This is a concrete form of social value implemented by the company. We ensure that assistance will be received by the community, by involving all BRI Group workers in every work unit spread throughout Indonesia. “We also hope that this assistance can help ease the burden on the community, especially residents living in orphanages, nursing homes, and orphans,” he said.
