The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine is working on the development of potential tools and systems of teacher motivation that can influence salary increases.
However, the proposals of the ministry have not yet been approved at the political level. This was stated by the Minister of Education and Science Oksen Lysova in an interview with “UP. Life”.
“Currently, it is extremely difficult to find funds, including for investments in education, when in fact the entire state budget goes to defense. And this year, we are investing in vocational training, science, higher education, the National University of Higher Education. This is considerable money, which was not available in previous years “, says the minister.
According to him, the salary increase for teachers needs “colossal amounts”.
“And we hope that we will find them. At the same time, we must introduce tools for teacher motivation in general: revise tools and approaches to professional development. If we go even further, we will change approaches to pedagogical education as a whole,” Oksen Lysovoy noted.

In his opinion, the teacher should understand how he can earn more and what he needs to do for that.
“This is what we are working on now. If certain scenarios are approved at the political level, we will come out with a presentation to the public regarding how salaries can be increased and what the accompanying mechanisms and tools can be for teacher motivation – like what is already works at the school, as well as for the potential,” the Minister of Education shared.
According to him, potential innovations can increase the motivation of teachers to study and master digital technologies.
“After all, this way they will have a much wider set of tools to work with the audience,” he explained.
From April 1, the minimum wage in Ukraine will increase to 8 thousand. UAH
Citizens receiving a minimum salary of UAH 7,100 can count on a pension of UAH 2,361. This is if a person gets 35 years of experience, the Pension Fund reports.
People who receive a minimum salary of UAH 7,100, but have only 31 hours of experience, will also receive a pension in the amount of UAH 2,361 in the future.
In both cases, the estimated amount of the pension is less than the minimum payment. Therefore, the Pension Fund will pay UAH 2,361 of the minimum pension.
