Teodoro Sosa presents to almost 2,000 people 21 measures if he continues as mayor of Gáldar

He announced putting the debt to zero, a new institute and town hall, more parking lots, another neighborhood plan and another beautification plan

Theodore Sosa, candidate of the
Rural Nationalist Bloc-Nueva Canarias (BNR-NC) to the Mayor of the Gáldar City Council for the municipal elections on May 28, presented this Saturday the keys to its program for the next term
in front of almost 2,000 people in the sports field of the Plaza de Barrial.

The current mayor, first mayor since 2007 and leader of a group that has 17 councilors out of 21, brought together a record attendance and
announced the 21 main measures and initiatives that he will raise in his electoral program, with which he aspires to a fifth term.

Sosa was backed on the spot by
Roman Rodriguez, President of Nueva Canarias and Vice President of the Government of the Canary Islands; for
Anthony Morales, president of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, and by numerous mayors and party representatives on the island.

He started by recalling that his group has done their homework, just before breaking down the keys to his electoral program, presented under the slogan
‘Teo2, Gáldar breathes’. Zero debt is the first of the objectives of the next mandate, he announced, to which will be added the
opening of the new institute the only one that integrates an archaeological site inside, as well as new recreational areas such as the extension of Huertas del Rey, the
completion of the Urban Park and the establishment of new recreational areas in Caideros and in the Pinar de la Herradura, in Fagajesto.

The construction of a
new town hall in the current Saulo Torón Institute once it is transferred to the new center and promised to continue the
Neighborhood Plan with an investment of 6 million for the lower area of ​​the municipality and 3.4 million for the middle area, and also the embellishment area.

He also announced the construction of
more parking with the second phase of the newly opened Las Guayarminas car park and continue promoting social services and the commitment to employment.

Other challenges, he said, will be a
Canarian Police station in Gáldar, for which the Government of the Canary Islands will be offered a building for 50 agents; convert the Guaires Cultural Center into the new auditorium of the city and continue supporting grassroots sport and fixing its facilities; the creation of
Temporary Stay Center for Animals in El Sobradillo and a dog park next to Huertas del Rey; a gastromarket in La Recova; a new library; more public housing and the expansion of the Botija wind farm with a third wind turbine.
