The Poles decided to unblock the checkpoint “Krakivets” – DPSU

Ukrainian border guards received information from the Polish side that farmers are allegedly planning to temporarily unblock traffic in the direction of the “Krakivets” checkpoint on the border.

Details: “We were informed that this may last until the 13th (of March). But we will see whether this will be followed, or whether the direction of the Krakow checkpoint will actually be unblocked by the 13th,” he said.

According to him, as of the morning of March 9, approximately 2,300 trucks are in queues in all directions, where Polish farmers make their passage difficult or practically impossible.

“The most difficult situation is in front of the checkpoints “Yagodin” and “Sheghina”. In fact, Polish farmers there do not allow trucks that follow in the direction of Poland to pass,” Demchenko said.

He clarified that over the past day, March 8, about 70 trucks entered Ukraine through Yagodyn, and about 20 through Sheghini.

At the same time, Demchenko noted, other categories of transport – passenger cars and buses, farmers are not blocked, and humanitarian and other important cargoes arrive at Ukrainian checkpoints.

We will remind: Earlier it was reported that Polish farmers continue to block the movement of trucks to six checkpoints on the border with Ukraine.

In Poland, farmers launched nationwide protests in February, blocking border crossings with Ukraine and disrupting ports and roads.
