In addition to the cause of crowded vehicles, the main reason for the above situation is that many passenger cars, after leaving Giap Bat station, are still open, stopping, and picking up passengers on the road….

Every time a passenger car turns around on the road, Kim Dong street becomes congested for a long time.

Faced with the above situation, let passenger cars flow quickly after leaving Giap Bat bus station, reduce vehicle density on Giai Phong street and the intersection with Kim Dong, the investor of Giai Phong – Kim Dong underground tunnel project and representatives of The unit attending the meeting proposed removing the regulation for passenger cars to turn around on Kim Dong street.

Instead, it is recommended that the Hanoi Department of Transport direct the median strip to be trimmed and the fence to be opened in the middle of Giai Phong Street in front of Giap Bat bus station gate. Then organize traffic for passenger cars, after leaving the bus station, go straight to the opposite Giai Phong street lane, turn left to Phap Van.

This proposal has now been agreed upon by the Hanoi Department of Transport; Then, the construction units had to trim about 20 meters of concrete berm (red arrow) and iron fence in the median strip in the middle of Giai Phong street ready for passenger cars to pass through.

However, the Hanoi Department of Transport said that allowing vehicles to go straight from the station gate to the opposite Giai Phong lane to turn around to Phap Van is only done in phase 2 of the Ring Road 2 tunnel project (when the fence is built). on a large area), currently this location (red arrow) is still temporarily fenced.
