Zelensky proposed an idea for African countries

Ukraine intends to remain a guarantor of food security for many countries of the world, in particular, on the African continent.

And he proves it with concrete steps, ensuring the operation of the “grain corridor” against all attempts by the Russian Federation to prevent its functioning. This is the president Volodymyr Zelenskyi said in an interview with African mass media journalists.

Ukraine is interested in partnership with the states of the African continent and is ready to hold a meeting between Ukraine and the African Union, Zelensky also said.

“We are interested in a strategic partnership between Ukraine and the states of the African continent. Our relations must be based on mutual respect, respect for territorial integrity, sovereignty, language and traditions,” the president said.

“It will be best when we can meet with the maximum number of leaders. I would like to have the opportunity to hold a meeting between Ukraine and the African Union or Ukraine and the countries of the African continent. I don’t care what the format is called – the main goal is that we did our best to achieve stability and peace in the world,” the president said.

Zelensky said about the initiative to build grain hubs in Africa, from which agricultural products could be transported across the continent, regardless of the actions of the Russian Federation or other similar states.

“There will always be food in these hubs. And no matter what happens, people will always have grain. And there will definitely be no hunger,” the president said.
