Ammunition for Ukraine – which countries are participating — UNIAN

Prague continues to seek money for this initiative.
20 countries have already joined the Czech initiative to purchase shells for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was stated by the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, during his visit to the Zlín Region.
“I think that this is a reflection of the fact that everyone knows about a certain debt for the promised support of Ukraine, when the European Union promised to deliver a million units by March of this year. Unfortunately, this did not happen,” ČTK quotes the president.
Pavel noted that the initiative has already gained momentum, but they are not giving up their efforts to find money and new partners. “If we don’t want Ukraine to fall, which is certainly not in our interests, it’s good that initiatives like ours are being created to try to get ammunition and the necessary equipment for Ukraine where possible,” he added.
Finance Minister Zbynek Stanyura said on Czech television that they will spend from 500 million to 1 billion Czech crowns on the purchase of ammunition. He noted that some countries do the same, and some do not want to publicize their participation.
