Head of the DKI Jakarta Province Dukcapil Office, Budi Awaludin, said that his staff would not carry out judicial operations to prevent immigrants. The reason is, everyone has the right to come and seek a better life in Jakarta.
“However, we urge those who come to Jakarta to make sure there is a guarantee of their residence, because that is a requirement in the data transfer process,” said Budi at DKI City Hall, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (16/4/2024).

According to Budi, immigrants are also advised to have job security. If not, he continued, newcomers must complete preparations by having adequate equipment.
Budi said that his party would also collect data on immigrants within the next month. The data collection will be carried out based on reports received from the public.
“So, we will carry out this data collection for one month for the process of those who come here, whether they bring their families and immediately carry out the process of moving or coming. Well, usually in one month at this time many people move to DKI Jakarta, because maybe they are going home. bring his relatives,” said Budi.

He predicts that this year there will be fewer immigrants entering Jakarta. Bearing in mind, the trend from previous years is that immigrants entering Jakarta always decrease every year.
“So we predict that this year the return flow will be around 10 thousand to 15 thousand. Last (year) it was estimated at 20 thousand to 25 thousand,” said Budi.
