Maleeha Lodhi said that Iran only attacked military targets, not civilian installations, Iran’s aim was only to warn Israel, Israel would like the US to get involved in the war and attack Iran together with the US. But America will not want it.
He said that the opinion of the American people is against Israel, the American people also want the Gaza war to end.
Maleeha Lodhi said that escalation of war in the region is not in the interest of anyone except Israel, some efforts are being made at the diplomatic level to stop Israel from further action, instability in the region may also affect our region.
He said that the real diplomatic efforts will be made by the US to prevent the war from escalating. It seems that China and Russia will not support the resolution condemning Iran. China and Russia will also want the war to stop not only in Gaza but also in the Middle East. However, Saudi Arabia or any other country will not want to escalate the war, there should be a unanimous response from Muslim countries including Pakistan.
Maleeha Lodhi said that if the tension increases, the economic impact on Pakistan and other countries will increase the challenge. The American administration also realizes that if the war increases, it will not benefit America.
