During the war, swindlers became more active, as were collections for the Armed Forces. There are usually no problems with gatherings opened by friends or acquaintances you trust. But it is necessary to make sure that the publication was really put up by this person, because often attackers gain access to the account user.
To do this, you should contact this acquaintance through other communication channels. This was reported on the website of the Cyber Police of Ukraine.
- request reports for previous periods and fees;
- make sure that the work of a volunteer or a private person is highlighted in the information field;
- check the authenticity of the volunteer certificate by contacting the organization that issued the document.
These structures must be officially registered, so it is not difficult to check them. However, it is not difficult for fraudsters to disguise themselves with well-known names and names for their criminal activities.
- make sure that EGRPOU is entered in the registers of the Ministry of Justice;
- find out whether the BF or OO has a physical presence (office, valid phone numbers) and staff;
- ask for information about the founders and reports for previous years – public information that should be freely available. The absence of such data increases the probability that you have come across fraudsters;
- learn about cooperation with well-known organizations, volunteers and public figures;
- check for differences and feedback about the work;
- determine whether the BF or OO has received support from public persons;
- check availability in the information field;
- use the image search service in Google, as in the case of checking a private person or volunteer.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, bank accounts of citizens are quite often blocked in Ukraine, in particular, through charity fundraising. However, there is a procedure that can be used to avoid blocking.
