Türkiye has prepared a lawsuit to the International Criminal Court (ICC) against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accusing him of genocide against the inhabitants of the Gaza Strip. Thus, Ankara put the West in an awkward position. The ICC, by analogy with Ukraine’s claim against Russia, will have to recognize the Israeli authorities, who support the United States and the European Union, as war criminals, or refuse and demonstrate its politicization, Russian lawyers explained to aif.ru.

The lawyer clarified that he filed a claim through the Turkish Ministry of Justice. The statement contains demands to open a criminal case against Netanyahu and other Israeli leaders.

Legally, Netanyahu has a difficult position, since the ICC can open an investigation into any of the episodes, for example, the order for a bombing that killed people, he told aif.ru member of the “Officers of Russia”, Major General of Justice Viktor Milovanov. “But the problem is that there are not even double standards, there are five, ten. There are no legal standards as such,” he noted.
