TPO – A tire burst, the container truck lost control, hit the median strip, rushed into the opposite lane and rammed into the motorbike, injuring the driver.
At 10:00 a.m. on April 16, the Northwest Traffic Police Station (belonging to the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police) was still examining the scene of an accident between a container truck and a motorbike that injured one person in the area.

Initial information, around 8:30 a.m. on the same day, a container truck with Ho Chi Minh City license plate was traveling on Provincial Road 8, heading from Provincial Road 15 to Huynh Minh Muong Street, Cu Chi District.
Just past the intersection of Provincial Road 8 – Le Thi An (bordering Tan Thanh Dong commune with Trung An commune), the container truck suddenly lost control, hit the median strip separating the two directions of traffic, rushed into the opposite lane and collided with Motorcycle with license plate of Tien Giang province driven by a man about 50 years old.

The collision caused the man to fall off the motorbike, and the vehicle was swept under the container truck and dragged onto the sidewalk. The container truck only stopped when it crashed into a series of trees and the steel mesh fence of the agricultural store.
Detecting the accident, people helped bring the man to the sidelines, took care of his wounds, and calmed his spirit.

Recorded at the scene, a series of dividers were bulldozed, the front of the container truck was damaged and the man’s motorbike was stuck underneath. An electric pole was pulled sideways due to a wire entangled in a container truck.
A traffic police officer on duty said that the initial cause was believed to be the container truck’s tire burst and the man riding the motorbike only suffered minor injuries.

About 300 meters away, on the morning of April 7, a truck traveling on Provincial Road 8 also hit the median strip, collided with a car and then rushed onto the sidewalk and rammed into a truck parked in an empty lot. The incident did not cause any loss of life but damaged vehicles.
The cause of the accident is being investigated and handled by the police.
