Bandit rule and lawlessness began to affect the markets of Sukkur

Business activities in Sindh’s main commercial city of Sukkur have been badly affected due to bandit rule on Sukkur Multan Motorway, National Highway and Indus Highway.

Families and businessmen from other cities including Kashmore, Ghotki, Jacobabad and Sabi have stopped visiting Sukkur’s wholesale market.

Shopkeepers say that earlier people used to come from nearby cities and shop late at night and return home fearlessly. Due to insecurity, customers are afraid to bring money.

Traders said that small town traders and families have stopped coming to Sukkur for shopping.

Eid shopping has not yet started in the wholesale and retail markets of Sukkur, Sindh’s second major commercial hub, due to inflation and the ever-deteriorating law and order situation.

Inflation has broken the balance of people, secondly because of law and order, people who come to shop from Sabi, Jacobabad, Kashmore and Kandhkot are not coming this time due to the situation.

The markets are completely silent, there is no excitement anywhere, it seems that our Eid-ul-Fitr festival is coming, on the other hand, buyers are reluctant to visit the markets unnecessarily in the current situation.

Traders say that due to the unrest, the situation has become like this, now there is no customer, we are sitting idle during the day, the trader is neither in Sukkur Aapar ha nor Japa, who has a little business, he is on the phone.

DIG Abdul Hameed Khosa says that we have sealed the entire cell in three layers, now robbers cannot come from Kacha.

Abdul Hameed Khosa added that the patrolling of rangers and police has been increased along with the establishment of pickets on all highways, including the motorway, since then there is crime control.

He further said that their hideouts have been destroyed by raiding the paddy field and 25 dacoits have been killed by the police in encounters.
