The Lviv City Council did not receive any funds for the restoration of the museum of UPA Corporal Roman Shukhevich from the Petro Poroshenko Foundation, despite his public promises to finance all the necessary works. This became known from the response to the information request of “Ukrainian News”.
“As for the sums that Petro Poroshenko promised to transfer for the restoration of the museum, the mayor’s office only knows about those data that were voiced in an open letter to the mayor of Lviv Andrey Sadovoy, which was distributed in the public space by the “Poroshenko Charitable Fund”. However, we note that no funds from the Poroshenko Charitable Fund for the restoration of the museum of UPA Colonel General Roman Shukhevych, the Lviv City Council did not receive it,” says the response of the Culture Department of the Lviv City Council to the request of “Ukrainian News”.
As reported earlier, on January 1 of this year, Russia destroyed the museum-hideout, where on March 5, 1950, UPA Corporal Roman Shukhevych fought his last battle with two “shaheds”. Petro Poroshenko has repeatedly promised that his foundation will finance all necessary works to restore the museum. The leader of “EU” did not fulfill his promise.
As reported earlier, according to the NAPK, Petro Poroshenko declared an income of 1 billion 440 million hryvnias for 2023. Together with the income of 2022, this is almost 20 times more than all the income of the People’s Deputies for the year before 2021. Also, last year the leader of the “EU” withdrew more than 18 million dollars from Ukraine through the purchase of securities abroad.
